Hey guys! Sorry my columns a little late! Who is excited for school?! I know I am. This week I’m going to talk about recycled jewelry. There is tons you can buy, such as the brand I talked about last week. But this week I’m going to show you how to make your own.
First, you will need old magazines, string, scissors and glue. Take the magazine and rip out a few brightly colored pages. Now you’re going to cut the page in strips. They need to be pretty thin, like a half inch or smaller. They also need to look like long triangles. You can really cut them anyway you want and experiment with what you like best. Now you take the strip of paper and roll it up so the hole in the middle is super small, just small enough for a string to fit through. And that’s one bead. Keep making them out of different pages so you have a variety of colors. You can even string them using one magazine bead and a couple glass, plastic or whatever other beads you can find. Be creative! Hope you guys have fun with this one, let me know how it goes. :)
