Kathryn Keeley of Woodlake Union High School has volunteered at the Assistance Service Dog Educational Center to train her dog to become a service dog for the mentally and physically handicapped. She is also editor of her school’s newspaper and was selected to participate in the State Science Fair for the past four years. She also maintains a 4.2 GPA and volunteers during the summer at the Sequoia National Park Visitor Center. She plans to major in biology in college and eventually get a Ph.D. She also hopes to continue to be involved with journalism, although she knows it won’t be her ultimate career path.
