Michelle Obama may be a part of the First Family, but she's also taking thousands more under her wing. The First Lady is set to make an appearance on an upcoming episode of Nickelodeon's iCarly in order to raise awareness for military families.

The TV show stars Miranda Cosgrove as Carly Shay, a web series star whose Dad is a Navy colonel overseas. In the scheduled episode, Carly and her friends break some rules in order to chat online with her dad on his birthday. Michelle Obama, playing herself, will find out about it and intervene in a positive way.

MObama is making the appearance to promote Joining Forces, a White House initiative that encourages all Americans to support military families. Participants can help these families by starting a volunteer project, joining a project already in motion, or simply sharing a message of thanks.
