Make Wishes Come True!
Ashley Tisdale and Seventeen help make sick kids' dreams happen through Make-A-Wish.
Ashley Says:
Why it matters to me
"Kids from Make-A-Wish, a nonprofit that fulfills dreams for seriously ill kids, came to the set of High School Musical as often as possible. Knowing that I could lift the spirits of kids who were sick and in pain felt so good that I started inviting the kids to visit me all the time. Now I always set aside time for children from Make-A-Wish no matter where I am. I love making people laugh, and these children spend so many days inside hospitals that they just want to forget about their problems for a few hours. It's exciting to see a kid who has been through so much take a break and just have fun."
Make it Your Mission
Spread the Word: The Make-A Wish Foundation grants a wish every 40 minutes! Become a fan at facebook.com/makeawish to increase awareness and to ask your friends to join too.
Volunteer: If you want to be hands-on, visit a hospital near you and ask about volunteering in the pediatric ward. You'll get to spend time with sick kids doing stuff like reading to them or bringing them for or just talking. Little things like that can add to some fun to their day.
